Safety Biomarkers

BIO-Asia Clinical Stage Partnering conference

The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) is organizing the first-ever BIO-Asia Clinical Stage Partnering Conference on 2-3 February, 2004, in Tokyo, Japan, at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo. Gene Therapy for Cancer

The International Society of Cancer Gene Therapy, in association with the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, a Sharp HealthCare affiliate, is organizing an international conference on Gene Therapy of Cancer on 11-13 December, at Hotel delCoronado, San Diego, California.

Leading researchers from around the world will present the latest results of their pre-clinical and clinical studies of cancer treatment using gene therapy technology. The design of the program includes sessions focusing on vector systems, tumor suppressors, apoptosis, antisense-ribozymes-RNAsi, hematopoietic gene transfer, drug resistance, therapy sensitization, immunotherapy and vaccines. Each topic session will begin with an overview of the field and the current status of human clinical trials.

Process Validation for Biologicals

IBC is organizing a conference on "Process Validation for Biologicals" from 23-24 Feburary, 2004 at Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina-San Diego, CA. The conference focuses on developing and implementing successful validation strategies and procedures for manufacturing biologicals while adhering to GMP and other regulatory guidances in a cost-effective manner.
