The Unified Health Interface aims to create an open interoperable platform to connect all digital health solutions

The National Health Authority (NHA) released a consultation paper on the Unified Health Interface (UHI). UHI is intended to be an open, interoperable platform to connect all digital health solutions.

The consultation paper provides an overview of the proposed design, scope and role of UHI. In light of the upcoming national rollout of NDHM, comments from the public are invited to ensure that UHI is designed and developed in a collaborative and consultative manner.

Through the UHI, NDHM aims to transform the way digital health services are rendered in India. Currently, patients and healthcare providers need to be on the same application to avail and provide digital health services, respectively. It is envisioned that the open network created by UHI will serve as the digital infrastructure for patients and healthcare providers to engage in the discovery, booking, payment and fulfilment of a variety of digital health services across applications. The services include but are not limited to, teleconsultation and the discovery of pharmacies and hospitals. Over time, the services enabled by the platform will evolve with the market ecosystem. UHI is designed to be similar to the UPI (Unified Payments Interface) ecosystem which has emerged for digital payments.

Since the launch of the pilot of NDHM in August 2020 in six Union Territories, multiple rounds of consultations with different groups of stakeholders have been held for the various building blocks to discuss the design and adoption. NDHM will continue this engagement with stakeholders and ensure that development is inclusive, and that diverse viewpoint are incorporated from concerned stakeholders.

Giving his views on the consultation papers, Dr RS Sharma, CEO, National Health Authority, remarked, “The National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) is endeavouring to make digital public goods for the healthcare industry to make it more accessible, affordable and efficient. To facilitate this, we are taking a consultative approach to develop the National Digital Health Ecosystem. We have come up with the concept of Unified Health Interface (UHI), designed on similar lines as UPI (Unified Payment Interface), which has revolutionized digital payments and the financial sector. To enable inclusivity and widen the perspectives on the table, I urge all stakeholders to go through the shared consultation papers and provide us with their valuable feedback.”

NHA will also organise a public webinar on UHI to explain the consultation paper on August 4, 2021, from 3 pm onwards.

                Synopsis:
The recent nitrosamine impurity crisis has firmly put the spotlight on genotoxic impurities (GTIs). Regulatory agencies, including US FDA and European Medicines Agency (EMA), have issued guidelines on allowable limits of genotoxic impurities in pharmaceutical products. These limits are to ensure product safety, not just for the ones frequently highlighted because of nitrosamines, but for all potentially contaminated drugs and processes in a company's portfolio of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
In this knowledge accelerator , our presenter were focusing on below summarized topics

Dr. BM Rao (Head - EM QA, ASAT & CQC, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited) had discussed about current challenges in quality control laboratories, best practices and next generation solutions in the pharmaceutical ecosystem

Dr. Anoop Kumar (Business Manager, SCIEX India) had discussed the rapid, sensitive and robust qualitative and quantitative analysis of genotoxic nitrosamines in Sartan products using SCIEX LC-MS/MS instrumentation to surpass current and future limits set by regulatory agencies

However, the multiplexing capabilities of fluorescence IHC, using standard histology equipment, are subject to several technical challenges. This webinar will provide insight and examples of how the Ultivue InSituplex platform may be used to address several of the current challenges associated with multiplex fluorescence immunohistochemistry. It will focus on initial user experiences using the InSituPlex platform using automated IHC on the Leica Biosystems BOND RX and automated imaging with the Leica Biosystems Aperio Versa.
Learning Objectives:

Understanding technical challenges associated with tyramide-based multiplex fluorescence IHC.
What tools are available today for multiplex?

"There is an app for that! See how LIMS mobile applications can improve your laboratory's workflow whilst aiding in your regulatory compliance"
Synopsis:
The mobility features of modern LIMS solutions can aid in regulatory compliance and allow labs to operate whilst on the go. Looking at a typical analyst workflow, they do not always have access to a computer right at the time of needing one. Mobile applications greatly improve laboratory workflows as users have access to the information they need at all times. For example, mobile applications can allow lab managers to check reports, assign testing or authorise results directly from their handheld devices no matter their physical location to optimize action time.
Benefits:
Attend this webinar to learn more about:

How LIMS mobile applications can aid in your compliance
How mobile applications can improve your laboratory workflow
