CHARAKA – Centre of Excellence inks MoU with BFI to strengthen Karnataka’s healthcare innovation ecosystem

CHARAKA – Centre of Excellence for HealthTech, MedTech & Assistive Technologies, Government of Karnataka, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Blockchain For Impact (BFI) to strengthen Karnataka’s healthcare innovation ecosystem.

The collaboration will focus on mentorship, policy and regulatory support, joint incubation initiatives, engagement with healthcare institutions, and district-level innovation sandboxes to enable real-world testing and validation of solutions.

By creating structured pathways for innovators to develop, validate, and scale impactful healthcare technologies, this partnership reinforces Karnataka’s commitment to fostering innovation-driven healthcare and improving public health outcomes.

The Centre of Excellence aims to position Karnataka,  already home to Bengaluru’s thriving startup ecosystem and major medtech players,  as a global hub for health technology and medical device innovation.
