Transdisciplinary University launches new academic programs

The Institute of Transdisciplinary Health Sciences and Technology, Transdisciplinary University (TDU) launched its new academic programs for the upcoming academic year (2017-18). Established with a mandate to formalize Trans and inter-disciplinary approaches in education and research, the institute has been in existence since 2013 under the Act of Legislature by the Karnataka government.

Functioning through two schools - the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the School of Integrative Sciences, the institute launched five new courses in the bachelors and masters academic programs.

Supported by the Ministry of Health and Family welfare as well as the ministry for IT, BT and Science and Technology, the institution focuses on free and fair learning opportunities irrespective of financial backgrounds of students.

Renowned technocrat and serial inventor, popularly known as Sam Pitroda, telecom engineer, entrepreneur and policy maker is the founder and Chancellor of the institution.
